According to media reports Muhammad Merah was a thief turned to Jihad

What kind of Jihadi would kill children in cold blood through a sneak attack and kill others through sneak, cowardly attacks?

Not only that but buys his arsenal of weapons by money obtained throug theft and burgalries?

So....is this is a nice formula? Spend your life in crime and when you get guilty, end you life as a martyr for easy access to Paradise?

French intelligence chief Ange Mancini told broadcaster BFM-TV that Merah told police during the siege that he bought the weapons for about C20,000

($26,000), using money he acquired through break-ins and holdups.

"Two years ago he grabbed a kid off the street in Izards, and made him watch bloody videos of beheadings in Afghanistan," a woman named Malika told a

local newspaper. "The mother found out and complained, but the police did nothing. Merah then went for revenge and turned up at the family's house in full

military clothes, waving a sword and chanting 'Al Qaeda! Al Qaeda!'"

The police, she claimed, ignored it. "They aren't bothered about Arabs arguing with other Arabs.

Quite rightly then, Palestinian Prime Minister Salam Fayyad strongly denounced Mehar’s deluded attempt to link his crimes to solidarity with Palestinians: “It

is time for these criminals to stop exploiting the name of Palestine through their terrorist actions, and to stop pretending to stand up for Palestinian children,

who only seek a decent life for themselves and for all children of the world. This terrorist crime is condemned in the strongest terms by the Palestinian

people and our children … no Palestinian child can accept crimes against innocent people.”

French intelligence chief Ange Mancini told broadcaster BFM-TV that Merah told police during the siege that he bought the weapons for about €20,000

Mancini said he believed that Merah was telling the truth about that, but suggested that forensic police would be examining the guns for clues as to where

Merah got them.
"The weapons, too, will talk," Mancini said

This reminds me of a fatwa issued by 16 Canadian Imams that said:

We want to remind Muslims that no amount of injustice to Muslims anywhere in the world justifies the taking of innocent lives. This world to the Muslim is a testing ground to see which way he chooses to respond when under pressure: His Way or Allah's Way?
