Please click here to listen to "Forbidden tree". What I found in this lecture was his complete rejection of violence in Islam. Now, we all know sometimes Muslims are required to reply to violence in response to aggression and not turn the other cheek. He bases his non-violence theory on the fact that in the story of Habeel and Qabeel in the Qu'ran the aggrieved brother refused to strike back even though he had a right to. He also refers to other verses that asks aggrieved Muslims to excercise patience and that sometimes, if we forgive, it helps us to atone for some of our sins.

Kindly listen and see if I understood him correctly.

As we have just started listening to Mr Habeeb, it would be to early to form an opinion.
