Dear Mubashir,

As I understand it, 'Be' in that Quranic verse means 'come into existence'. This means the start of existence, and not necessarily the final product. When we come into being in the womb, we are far from being a final product. But we do exist.

The universe 'became' the moment Allah said 'Be'. Science calls it the Big Bang, the beginning of the universe, and its endless possibilities.

Just my two cents.
