AOA,
Pakistan has it's share of good and bad, like any other institution of the country Pakistan Army is no exception; there are some important facts that need to be considered before we pass any judgement on an individual or institution,
This is a fact is that Dr. Shazia and her husband Mr. Aman has never said, pointed a finger or even registered a case against the accused Captain. The question is who accused him?? -- The answer, "The tribal lord Nawab Bugthi and his men". Later, Nawab Bugthi's demand that Hammad should pass through the fire to prove his innocence, speaks volumes about Mr. Bugti's intentions. Mr. Bugti further said that "It was a gang rape, where rapist was Hammad with four other security personals" while Dr. Shazia Aman had clarified it and again said that it was not a gang rape and only one man (rapist) broke in through the window.
At that time, there was tussle going on between Government and Nawab Bugti over Sui resources and Mr. bugti was resisting to Government's bid to end the tribal Sardari system (He had also got fame when he gave shelter to Ramzi Yousaf(master mind for the first WTC attacks in 1993))
Mr. Bugti has then made it a reason to attack the gas resources with rockets as he has complained (the real reason) that he should be awarded more funds from the Federal Government for their usage of gas resources. Regarding Mr. Bugti' human rights record, it is still on record that his son threw acid on his wife's face and then they tried their best to stop victim to speaking up, plus his private jails, where people were thrown in and tortured on crimes they have never committed. His reign of terror is no fairy tale, under his rule a common poor Baluch had no rights ...
Capt. Hammad Was never accused by Dr. Shazia!, In F.I.R his name was not Mentioned, The only person who ever accused him was Sardar Bugti and it was motivated Politically.
The DCO Dera Bugti, Abdus Samad Lasi told the media that according to local reports, Bugti tribesmen allegedly involved in Dr. Shazia Khalid case were still absconding. He further told that among these absconders included a junior clerk, Saeed Suri of DCO office and several others. He said that the doctors of PPL and Captain Hammad were wrongly implicated in this case.
Its amazing how they were able to manipulate the facts...the negligence was on police side for not sealing or collecting evidence from the room...and by then it was too late to either convict or accuse anyone ....and Baloch insurgents were on their feet to use it as a pretext to trigger an attack on national resources...HAD THERE BEEN IOTA OF EVIDENCE AGAINST HIM HE WOULD HAD BEEN TRIED BY MILITARY COURTS AND COURT MARTIALED!...he was just a capt..if it had been a General, same procedure would have been followed..there is certainly a lot more to this story!!!
Regards
