Spot on Jawaid Sahib! I am in total agreement with you. "Government should be judged by how well it meets its legitimate objectives. Good government is that which most effectively secures the rights of the people and the fruits of their labor, promotes their happiness, and does their will". Unfortunately you are labelled "pro democracy" if you criticize "Oligarchy"(for some Dictatorship) and accused of being 'Dictator ship' lover if you criticize a corrupt 'democratic Govt'. In my humble opnion the
real solution lies in the 'Republic' form of Government, where rule of law is the only real force that Governs, doesn't matter how you achieve it, through democracy, dictatership or any other way. I don't agree with the statemnt that even a worst form of democracy is better than a dictatorship, how could that be? Take the example of Pakistan, Just look the past 9 years of a dictater(If want to call Musharraf a dictator, on the contrary he was the most democratic ruler we ever had) and compare it with the past two years of the so called democratic Govt. or the democratic Govt. before 1999.
