I agree that the laws created by Allah are there and produce the results that they were ‘designed’ for. These laws, having been created, mean that Allah is responsible for everything; He is the Creator and Sustainer of the universe, but through His laws, not intervening. If we look at the following, we must all conclude [even the most strident N2I would agree] that for Allah to do this is not the right interpretation:-
2:228. Divorced women shall wait concerning themselves for three monthly periods. Nor is it lawful for them to hide what Allah Hath created in their wombs, if they have faith in Allah and the Last Day.
The usual translation has Allah creating all life in the wombs, which beats the Christians who say only Jesus had an immaculate conception! So when we see verses that look strange, have literal meanings that make us extra-terrestrial etc, we must use the whole Quran to keep our feet on the ground.
[Dr Shabbir has the right translation- “They shall not conceal pregnancy if they believe in God and in the Hereafter”]
Also, being All-Knowing, All-Seeing, does not make Allah everywhere, omnipresent. He is not the universe or any part of it; He is above such things, but is aware of everything.
