Dear Brother, Islam doesn't consider woman as an "object". She is created from the same "soul", man has been created from according to the Quran. So if man has a mind , woman also has one.
Now I feel that Muslims, in general, seem to never have been 'trusting' woman's' mind, as far as the history of Islam is concerned. Yes, they have been dealt like an "object" of pleasure, especially if all Muslims of past have been belivein n "multiple Marraiges" under normal circumstances as we also have been considering so. (I still like to keep the 'option' of any-un-favourable conditions that might lead to have multiple wives at the same time, because of the fear of Allah only , and because I never want to be too assertive about my opinion, right! as it's known that the verse 4:3 was revealed after the battle of Uhud, as far as I remember and their was a great loss of Muslim men and the helpless women and men needed shelters + we all know how the Madina people 'shared' their property , may be wives too, because they were following their own old traditions. I may be wrong).
Similary take the matter of Talaq, and halah etc, everything goes against women rights, the way most Muslims have been behaving.
I only mean to say that all happened due to the mis-interpretations of the teachings of Islam, that Muslim women has been taken for-granted and have been given regarded "less' than men, otherwise weren't those all "women" you gave births to "Prophets"? The Prophets, who brought "laws" for mankind!
