Quite right brother. You have painted a true picture of the theocracy of Mulla. However, “My way or sword” was not Mulla Modoodi’s motto alone. It was the underlying manifesto of all the Muslim rulers whom we hold in high esteem and reverence. Starting 40 AH, they all ruled by personal decree and sword. Hence, can’t be regarded as Muslims in literal sense, as Islam is PEACE. It is not a Fatwa, I beg your forgiveness, but consensus based on history and Quranic values.
Mulla Modoodi was reported by reliable sources to be on the payroll of CIA. His Turjuman al Quran was bought in bulk by the American Consulate in Karachi on cash payment, stored in well-known premises and later on thrown into sea for disposal. And that was to help him financially. Eye witnesses of this whole process are still living and can testify.
I usually go a little bit too far on this issue. I do think a demented Mulla, inspite of all his aggressive techniques and subversive mentality, is nothing but a puppet, a tool in the hands of the powerful political elite – just as religion is a weapon in the elite’s hands. He is paid for what he is commissioned to do, by the local or international capitalist Mafia. Our rulers, present as well as the past ones, are/were a part, or slaves, of that Mafia. In turn, we the public, are their slaves. The real power wielders are the extremely rich ones. Our governments are the ‘democracies of the capitalists’. No poor man dare enter the field of politics. Mulla Modoodi and others of his tribe can sure contest elections and win seats of power, as is amply evident. And it is by virtue of their commitments to serve the rich ruling elite. The crux of the matter, in my humble opinion, is that our target has to be the tyrant, capitalist, exploitative ruling class. Not Mulla who is just a tool in their hands.
God bless you brothers.
