Dear Ijlal, you are right marry singles among you means you(the central authority) should marry singles among you...for whatever reason lets not discuss that for now...
But how come here you are NOT leaving the context behind like 4:3? The same rules should apply there, shouldn't it?
You know well how this Surah An Nisa has started and the verses are mostly ahkamaats. (I am hoping you understand ahkamaats).
If you take this as a hukm (what else would you take it, a suggestion?) then it is implying marrying off of singles of any kind males, females, widows, divorcees, old, young, is a duty of the central authority!!
Now think why would Allah SWT give such order? Lets agree with you to prevent lewdness in society.
In this case you are quick to decide that marrying off "singles" (may I remind of any kind) males as well as females by the authority is ordained by Allah...Even though people are given choice to marry or remain single if they choose to and think they can do that without being lewd???
The other scenario you can say, could be the central authority has been given this responsibility which cannot be this case as the verses here are clearly coming here as commandments.
Even if it is given as responsibility, HOW can you interpret this as such while DO NOT take the same responsibility given to society in 4:1/2/3 and so on to MARRY OFF ORPHANS after considering them as your own family??
What is more important, to Marry off singles who may have their OWN families to take care of them and may choose to remain single from their own choices OR taking up the responsibilities of the Orphans of the society as your own family 4:2 and MARRYING THEM OFF 4:3 if you think you cannot keep them as your own family, so they can have one of their own? The reason 4:3 starts as ...And if you think you cannot do justice...!!
Why are you not understanding the verses in 4:1. 4:2, 4:3 for what they are while you ARE trying to interpret this verse 24:32 in the same manner for ALL the singles in the society?
As for rest of verses, same goes... See how we chose to convert Nisa in society as wives where ever we desire because we already have changed the 4:3 into marrying multiple females oneself. And see the contradiction in the interpretation when we chose to keep Nisa in verse where it says they are like caretaker of your future generations!
Isn’t the No2 Islamist right in interpreting it as wives by the same reason you made Nisa in society in other places into Wives?
And then isn't brother Salman right in saying, why is it not allowed for other circumstances...? we've given him reason to doubt already haven't we?
