Hope you are all well.
I want to ask your understanding regarding the "meals" served on these Qur'an Khwani Mahafil. Are these not "wama uhilla bihi lighairillah" - "wama uhilla lighairillahi bihi" [Forbidden to eat: "-- and anything that has been dedicated to other than God ---"] (2:173, 5:3)
[53:38 No laden one will bear the load of another.
53:39 Every human being will be responsible for his works, and compensated for, his labor.]
We think these acts are of no use and no one can be benefited by reciting the Holy Book and passing "thawab" on to the dead.
My understanding is that these are the same ways to make the dead happy that people make meals and in a way feed the dead while they, in fact, eat it themselves. It's done in many ancient religions and cultures, like some African tribes and native or indigenous Australians (Aboriginals).
Although people have changed their outlook on many issues, but they are the same in sticking to many subhuman beliefs.
Any ideas will be much appreciated.
