AOA ALL! I want to tell you that how QXP has shown and supported a better Interpretation and in my humble opinion has SOLVED a disputed issue. (I apologize for 'long post.I do NOT intend to dominate any opinion that differs!)

It will be better If we study some Ayas before 43:61 and then come to Aya 43:61, I suggest.

Comparason amongst all these translations becomes inevitable as everyone refer to them and most of us are not very familiar with the Arabic language.
When people start showing some considereation to the matter that Prophet Jesus as had died the natural death according to Quran , they bring up this issue that JESUS AS is declared to be the SIGN OF LAST HOUR,the end of world or doomsday. There are other Ayat in Quran which refer to this fact that Jesus as will never be here BEFORE JUDGMENT DAY, still many followers of sectarian Islam offer this Ayat as a proof.

[43:61]
Khalifa
And (Jesus) shall be a Sign (for the coming of) the Hour (of Judgment): therefore have no doubt about the (Hour), but follow ye Me: this is a Straight Way.
Pithall
And lo! verily there is knowledge of the Hour. So doubt ye not concerning it, but follow Me. This is the right path.
Shakir
And most surely it is a knowledge of the hour, therefore have no doubt about it and follow me: this is the right path.
Sher Ali
But, verily, he was a sign of the Hour. So entertain no doubt about it, but follow me. This is the right path
Yusuf Ali
And (Jesus) shall be a Sign (for the coming of) the Hour (of Judgment): therefore have no doubt about the (Hour), but follow ye Me: this is a Straight Way.

Please notice;
1-Some of the translations uses a present tense for Jesus as, and not the 'future tense'.
2-Some of the above translations of 'wa inna hu" refer to 'Quran' instead of Jesus as.

QXP:

وانه لعلم للساعة فلا تمترن بها واتبعون هذا صراط مستقيم
43:61And, behold, this (Qur’an) indeed gives knowledge of the oncoming Revolution. Hence, bear no doubt about it and follow Me. This alone is the Straight Path.

[Many commentators regard Innahu in this verse as relating to Jesus and then postulate that Jesus is the sign of the Resurrection Day. In my opinion, this fallacy is the result of: - Missing the context of free will in the last few verses.
- Taking the Hour only to mean the Resurrection Day. But ‘The Hour’ is frequently mentioned in the Qur’an to indicate Revolution, the ultimate outcome, and the culmination of the Law of Requital.
- Losing sight of the capital M in ‘follow Me’, that is God. There is no ‘Qul’, say to them, or tell them O Prophet, in this verse. ‘Follow Me’ would then clearly signify ‘Follow God’s Revelation, the Qur’an’. Here is my humble explanation of the verse: ‘This Qur’an stresses upon you the inevitability of the Law of Requital. Bear no doubt that you will be held accountable for all your actions, hence; follow My Commands given in this Book of Mine’]

I really appreciate that the efforts of Dr. Shabbir has offered us a lot of stuff for thinking.....AGAIN!

Sincerely
