The head covering can be aesthetically pleasing as well as a protection from the weather, sun, wind, snow etc. I have no problem with any covering for cultural reasons or personal choice, but once a man says that a woman MUST wear Hijab in the name of Islam, then that is what I object to. There is no choice given, either you are a good little Musliminah, or you are the lowest of the low (use your own derogatory term for ‘fallen’ women).

Men get off easy, please yourself, wear what you like, look at half naked women at work or on the street, fool around, and when the women stands up, society says they are a bad wife or of loose character.

Men have to have the proper Quranic education and then 99% of the troubles they give to women will disappear. Instead of listening to the Mullah at the Friday Khutba telling them how many houris they are going to get in their Jannah, they should be teaching them the morals that made some Muslims the ‘best of peoples’.They should look at what the Quran says are the real 'pleasant companions' all of us will then have in the heaven on earth and the hereafter that Allah wants us to create.
