Respected brother AmirAbbas,

Here is further info on "magic", expulsion of demons, evil eye and similar superstitions.

There are many reported sayings of the exalted Prophet that resonate with Qur'an in this context.

The Qur’an dismisses 'demon-possession' of people and states that it is only the Kaafirs who make up such stories even against the Messengers of Allah. Additionally, there is a reported saying of the exalted Prophet, "La Ghoul!" (There are no such things as demons, evil spirits or hidden creatures that can invade the humans). Please note that even Satan is nothing extrinsic. It is our selfish desire as explained elsewhere.

Nay, the dead do not return to this world.

23:100 That I may do good works in that I left behind! But, nay! It is a mere word of no significance that he speaks. And behind them is a barrier until the Day they are raised.

There have been four undiagnosed deaths in Lahore, Pakistan (Jun, 2002). The top Mullahs, including Dr. Israr Ahmad, have pronounced it as the work of evil Jinns and that the services of an experienced 'Aamil (a demon-expeller) must be sought.

An Aamil, Imran Nagi has graciously obliged with his diagnosis, "It is the black magic of Haandi Waar" (assault of black magic through a cooking pot!) He has demanded one million Rupees to counter the demon and protect others. It is amazing to see our Mullahs who consistently ignore the Qur’an, even refute their beloved Ahadith when it would serve their purpose.

The exalted Messenger reportedly said, "Nasharah (the pretense of expelling demons) is nothing but Satan's handiwork."

JULY 2002: With Imran Nagi going nuts with all his antics, five more unexplained deaths have occurred in Lahore!

The ancient and follow-the-trail modern tafseers tell us that Prophet Jacob was afraid of "the evil eye" if his sons entered the town together.

12:67 And he said, “O My sons! Do not enter the town all by one gate, but enter by different gates. Yet, I cannot avail you against the Divine Laws. (So, handle all situations carefully). Rule and Law-giving belongs to Allah alone. In Him I trust, and in Him should all the trusting put their trust." (17:77, 33:38, 35:43).

[Mullahs ascribe the advice to protect them from 'evil eye'. Historically, the brothers had been accused of spying on a previous occasion (Genesis 42:9). The Qur’an consistently rejects all superstition]

Please remember that, in order for such supernatural things as - magic, demon-possession, evil eye, amulets, "Imam Zaamin", miracles, karamaat, occult sciences - to take effect, the Divine laws in the Universe must change which they never do.

[Divine laws never change or deviate - 6:34, 10:64, 17:77, 18:27, 33:62, 35:43, 48:23, 6:115, 18:27, 33:38, 33:62, 35:43, 40:85, 48:23]
