My dear forum members explain every thing with such conscientiousness and brilliance that there is usually no room left for further comment. Hope brother Noman would have been satisfied by now but just in case I would like to present it from another perspective.
The words used by Allah SWT have the best meaning always. It’s only us who need to constantly evolve our understanding according to knowledge we receive over time.
If you look at the words used for this great message itself, the two words mostly used are AlKitab (The Book of Law) usually used where Allah SWT is giving binding laws and Al-Quran. According to one understanding, Quran comes from the root qaf ra hamza which gives it a meaning that is sufficient to understand what all my respected brothers and sisters are saying here. Qaf ra hamza means to collect and protect something in a way a “nutfa” is in the womb of a mother.
The reason for giving it such name was that a womb is not only the best place for zygote to survive but the only place where it will grow and evolve as the time passes! So Quran is not something that will remain stagnant for a period of time. It is only Book that has the potentials to grow along with the understanding of human being and that is what makes it miraculous.
With that in mind and understanding that no one has the right to change the words and laws of Allah SWT we can also apply the understanding of these verses,
“For those who shun false authorities and refraining from idol worshiping in all forms, and turn to Allah alone, there are glad tidings. Give, then, this good news to My true servants.”
“Who listen to the Word and follow the best of it application (in a given situation). Such are those whom Allah guides, and they are the insightful ones”…
along with 41:53 and others.
Also, correct me if its said wrong brother Shabbir.
Na ho tughyanay mushtaqi, to na hi main rahoon baqi..
so keep it coming bro :)
