The tale of two sermons

Heard today at the Jummah sermon:

- When Prophet Muhammad (SAW) walked on the streets, pebbles used to say salaam to him. Abu Bakr & Umar held one such stone in their hands and witnessed this.
- Umar stopped the earth from trembling by hitting a stick on the ground and ordering the earth to stop moving.
- When the prophet and sahaba were standing on a mountain, an earthquake occured and either of them (imam is not sure who) asked the mountain "don't you know who's standing on you?" and the mountain stopped quaking.

Heard last week at Eid sermon:

- When Ibrahim (AS) was about to put the knife on Ismail's (AS) neck, Allah ordered Jibrael to take a sheep from Jannat and reach immediately to the earth. The knife was 2 feet away from the neck (precise distance given by the imam) when Jibrael started from Jannat. Someone asked Jibrael "when was it that you had to use all your might" to which he replied "when I had to reach Ibrahim with the sheep".

Can't understand who had the secret access to Jibrael for the interview. :-)
