Here is one question my Muslim friends have never given me a satisfactory response to.
Why was Muhammad allowed to have more than four wives at a time when according to the Quran the maximum limit is 4 (in exceptional circumstances).
I understand that he may not have consummated all his marriages, and they may simply have been social/political arrangements. But this does not change the fact that he violated the commandment of the Quran.
If somehow you argue that Muhammad's case is an allowed exception, then many of your other arguments about ahadith which contradict the Quran being false, will hold no weight any more.
