Dear Br. Behroz,
Of course we can create light from a heap of dung. Any garbage (including dung and shit) can be turned into gas. Then, gas can be used to generate electricity. It is electricity that lightens your home as well as powers your refrigerator, washer, dryer, TV, computer, and many other devices.
Just yesterday I received current issue of Scientific American. It includes an article titled “The Power of Garbage” by John Pavlus. He claims the trash is loaded with the energy trapped in its chemical bonds. Plasma Gasification can extract this energy. What is Plasma Gasification? An excerpt from a different issue of the same magazine explains it.
“Engineers have developed an efficient torch for blasting garbage with a stream of superheated gas, known as plasma. When trash is dropped into a chamber and heated to 10,000 degrees Fahrenheit, its organic components—food, fluids, paper—vaporize into a hot, pressurized gas, which turns a turbine to generate electricity. Steam, a by-product, can generate more. Inorganic refuse such as metals condense at the bottom and can be used in roadbeds and heavy construction.” SCIETIFIC AMERICAN
Please remember that God Almighty never creates anything useless.
