You have quoted the following Ayah: "If you were to follow the majority of the people in the land, they would lead you astray from the path of Allah. They follow nothing but conjecture; they do nothing but indulge in their own surmises".
Although you haven’t mentioned the Ayah number, I think it is 6:116.
QXP: (People will confront you with what the majority is doing.) Now if you pay heed to, or get intimidated by majority of those who live on earth, they will lead you astray from God’s Way. Most of the people follow nothing but conjecture and they only live by guesswork.
As we can see, the wordings differ substantially. I wonder if the translation you have quoted is from an earlier version of QXP, of if it is from some other source.
Seeing how the above instance sent me into a tizzy for a few minutes, I see the sense in the forum policy’s requirement to use only QXP, so everyone can be on the same plane.
