I often wonder—when I read what is popularly known as “Islamic history”—that if the size of the incongruity, discard, and disharmony was so great as the “historical” accounts seem to tell us about, then Islam, a major victorious force of the time would have died down quickly—right there in the Arabian peninsula. On the contrary, Islam spread like a breeze—some would say—like a wild fire---all over the world. Does anyone think that such unparalleled strides in the spread of a new religion (“new” in the popular sense of the word) would have been possible in the presence of remarkable discards and internal conflicts leading to MAJOR bloody battles among the sections of the same people? The rest of human history does not lead to this conclusion in the history of major internal conflicts. Internal scuffles, strifes, and conflicts lead to disintegration, not victories and glories!
So what is “Islamic history”?
“Islamic history” is a pack of lies, libraryful of nonsensical tales designed to befool a whole people till eternity!!!
“Islamic history” is Messrs Tabari’s, Ibn Katheer’s and Ibn Khaldoon’s figment of imagination. Leave everyone else—just read the “Islamic Shakespeare", Mr. Tabari.
I read “Islamic history” for entertainment—never for knowledge—because it has nothing to do with knowledge, it’s a bunch of fantastic fiction, a repertoire of fairy tales, designed to insult Islam and to advance sectarian DOGMA—something that God never authorized in His glorious Divine Book of the Truths?
“Har kamaale ra ziwaale”—all heights go to downfalls! That’s what’s Muslims are having today---they did not have this downfall in the distant past when these fantastic stories of battle between the noble companions were concocted.
If Muslims would have focused on the Qur’an and its remarkable teachings alone, they would still be ruling today. They, instead, allowed themselves to fall headlong into the dark abyss of---what Allama Iqbal called--“Rivayaaat and khurafaat ([preposterous accounts of fairy tales)”!
