Some of my friends do not eat animal livers on the pretext that its a sack where capillaries are always full of blood for cleaning purposes. Acc to them it comes under Quranic word" Flowing blood" . Liver stops dead cells and deter diseases , but in this process, often get infected and become cancerous. Perhaps this could be the reason Quran forbids us to eat blood. Obviously the word "flowing blood" does not mean flowing on ground.

Wikipedia;;Many diseases of the liver are accompanied by jaundice caused by increased levels of bilirubin in the system. The bilirubin results from the breakup of the haemoglobin of dead red blood cells; normally, the liver removes bilirubin from the blood and excretes it through bile.
including biliary atresia, alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency, alagille syndrome, progressive familial intrahepatic cholestasis, and Langerhans cell histiocytosis to name but a few.
It also get infected by Hepatits A,B,C and become cancerous. Thats why some times we see ugly patches and tumors on animal livers.

Healthy or not, there is a factor of doubt.
Muslims, specially on the occasion of ID ul Azha, like to eat this organ as a special feast.

Is there a validity on the argument.
