My name Kaur (Princess) came not from father or husband, but as a gift from Guru from Vaheguru (God), denoting my royal staus. My religion teaches the absolute equality of woman and man. This is not always practiced, it is true, because we are still humans outgrowing our past.

For what it's worth, my religion FORBIDS a woman to cover(veil) her face just as the Moslem book does. [Sikh Rehat Maryada (SRM) Sction Four, Chapter X, Article XVI (s): It is not proper for a Sikh woman to wear veil or keep her face hidden by veil or cover.]

It is not my place, however, to criticise your religion. I will only note that I have been told that in your holy book nowhere does it say the woman should/must cover her face. In fact, did not your Prophet PBUH say that the only parts of her that should show are the face, hands and feet, implying that the face should not be covered? I have never figured out how the burqa and abaya fit into that.
