As per wikipedia, he met Ahmed Shah Masood in Afghan war and was his friend for six years.

As per Pak media, he was follower of a guy Yousuf Kazzab, who was jailed for blasphemy and later killed by a prisoner in jail.

Now, Uzbeck Ahmed shah Masood was a proven soviet spy agent and am arch enemy of Pakistan, killing thousands of Afghan and Pakistani majuhideen at that time and after. Inspite of best pak efforts thru Afghan leaders like Gul Badeen and others for making a post war Afghan govt, he never cooperated, not even talked with Zia or negotiated with Banazeer/ Nawaz regimes after the war.

How Zahid Hamid, a friend of Ahmed shah Masood can ever be a friend of pakistan or a "momin" in your concept. In the company of Ahmed Shah Masood, he has blood of Pakistanis on his hands. And now he keep talking about Iqbal. people like him have no shame.

As for as his services for Pakistan, no one knows any thing, except Tv talk shows. His only qualifications is to blame India, America and Israeel for every thing. No self analysis. People who always blame others for every thing are usually not very creditable.

A man is judged with his past, if not then, Zardari should also be hero and a great President.

Sidqi.
