All good posts in this thread that I don't even know where to start. I guess I can start by thanking our dear Brother Muhammad Latif Chaudry for an insightful post and I must say that I agree with what he has explained in his opening post.
I agree with our dear Brother Badar that we should strive with an UTMOST striving to learn the LANGUAGE of The Quran (as indeed Allama Parvez has always taught) IN ORDER to best try to UNDERSTAND the message of The Quran. It was pointed out in this thread that there are so many translations and Muslims cannot even agree on just one standard translation.* I believe this is all the more reason to learn the language of The Quran in order to rid ourselves of any reliance on translations.
I specifically would like to address the post made by Sidqi. I agree alot with what you said in your post. What I wish to add is the initial "HOW" of starting that particular process. I personally believe that we are wasting our time and only theorising unless and until we initiate a Hijrah (migration) campaign in order to "ESTABLISH" both a COMPACT COMMUNITY as well as the DIVINE SYSTEM!!!! We need to establish a solid nucleus from which we can more effectively and strategically spread the message and be that realistic community example that Sidqi speaks of in his post. Right now, we are like a bunch of live wires of an electrical cord. We need to fuse/intertwine into ONE SOLID plug.
If we are not ready to take this seriously then all else is just talk, in my humble opinion.
* The ideal, of course, would be to learn the language of The Quran. However, barring that, the next best thing would be to utilise and compare as many translations as possible. BUT.....if I had to choose just ONE translation for myself and recommend to others, for me it is the QXP as I believe this is the most appropriate and accurate "RENDITION" (this word "rendition" is important for the point I am making) available to date.
