Reducing pain and increasing pleasure is a natural human pursuit. Most our life is spent on those objectives. But there is always a limit to what we can get. For example, if we live too long we will lose our dentures despite the best dentist in the professional medical complex. So why harass ourselves with apprehensions like BP, OGTT, A1C, FPG, LDL, or urine PH? I think this fear is unduly exploited by health industry mafias in a wrong context that sell their goods and make tons of money.
My neighborhood friend was gifted with a “free” glucometer by a drug company. He got obsessed with it and spent most his money buying expensive test strips that was never free. He keeps checking his blood sugar many times a day as haunted by his feelings. His pain and pleasure is also adjusted according to the meter readings by the hours of the day.
There is no basic human pleasure like eating, sleeping, and drinking which the drug/doctor mafia (excluding Dr. Shabbir) won’t discover that leads to cardiac arrest. They may be right but with their wrong inferences. The truth is that no matter how longer we live or how healthier we live; nature will soon confront us with its reason in our body and will ask us to leave this world. There is no avocado or homeopathy precaution for that.
I think that thinking or talking about too much health is also unhealthy. Moderation is only one of the best precautions. Leave one fourth of your stomach alone. Make good use your health even to the point of wearing it out and do not be anxious of God’s design. Take it as it comes.
